Confidently Navigate the Kent Test with Sunnydene Tutoring's Kent Test Toolkit

Unlock your child's potential with Sunnydene Tutoring's comprehensive guide to maximising your child's performance on the day of the Kent Test.
What I offer for Kent Test preparation is far more than simply a weekly group session – it’s a full package of support for my pupils and their parents.
The Kent Test can be daunting, but I’m here to guide you through the process.

A Sunnydene Tutoring Kent Test subscription includes:
-
Weekly Year 5 sessions during Sunnydene Tutoring term-times.
-
A final group session in the week preceding the Kent Test, at the start of Year 6.
-
A Kent Test ‘Starter Pack’ which should be collected as soon as possible after booking, so that vital foundation skills can be developed during the school summer holiday ahead of the start of our sessions.
-
All of the Kent Test practice material that you'll need in order to prepare your child fully for the Kent Test (including sets of practice questions for recently added question-types that don't yet appear in the most commonly used practice material).
-
Christmas, Easter and summer holiday activity packs, for use at home during the main school holidays.
-
Access for parents (once sessions commence) to a wealth of additional information and guidance via the Sunnydene Tutoring Kent Test Parents’ Pages of my website, ensuring that you have all of the information about the Kent Test that you need, along with details of our session work, weekly homework tasks and a wide range of additional practice material.
-
Support by phone or email 6 days a week. I’m available to answer your questions by phone or email, and to offer personalised guidance and progress reports, during school hours and on Saturday mornings.
-
Monthly ‘Drop-In Clinics’ for additional in-person support.
-
Access to a huge range of reading material from my library.
-
Priority booking for Kent Test ‘mocks’, and for additional group ‘booster’ sessions during school holidays.
For my 2026 Kent Test sessions, payment will be by a monthly subscription. The cost of this is £90 per month (although there’s VAT to be added to this, I’m afraid, making the total amount payable £108 per month). Your first payment will be due at the start of September, when I’ll be in touch asking you to set up your payment plan. With a payment plan set up, monthly payments will be taken automatically, with your final payment made during August next year. However, you’ll still have access to all of the information on the Parents’ Pages of my website (and all of the other benefits of the subscription) throughout the school holiday at the end of the 2025 to 2026 school year and until the time of the 2026 Kent Test.
Sessions for the new school year will begin during the week beginning 22nd September, with sessions offered each weekday - although some of my groups are now fully booked.
Please do check the term dates on the Information for Parents page of my website – particularly if you’d like Monday or Wednesday sessions, as there are a couple of dates when alternative sessions will be in place. You’ll be asked to agree to my terms and conditions when you book. Please read these, as they give information about (amongst other things) the procedure for any sessions that are missed due to (for example) a child being unwell.
If you’re ready to reserve your child’s space, just click the ‘subscribe’ button at the bottom of the page. You’ll then be able to choose a session day and time for your child’s weekly sessions and you’ll be asked to pay a £24 booking fee to secure your spot. This fee has been taken into account in calculating the overall cost of the package, so please note that this is not refundable and is not refunded against the cost of future subscription payments.
Shortly after you’ve selected your child’s group slot, you'll receive an email confirming your booking and giving additional details, including a request to collect your Practice Pack as soon as possible and instructions for setting up your monthly payment plan (to cover the cost of your monthly subscription).
As an alternative to my group sessions, I'm also able to organise weekly individual Kent Test sessions with one of the tutors on my team. Pupils working individually with their tutor will complete the same activities, and their parents will have access to all of the same support from me, as those pupils who come along to a group session. However, I'm aware that some parents prefer individual sessions and so I offer this as an additional option. Individual sessions cost £54 per week - please contact me if this option is of interest.

My target is to expertly support your child in their Kent Test preparation, whilst reducing stress and anxiety for the whole family. Let me guide you through the process: together we can achieve the best for your child.

I’m aware that’s a lot of information (sorry!) and I hope that I’ve provided sufficient information for the time being but do let me know if there is further detail that you need as I'll be happy to answer any remaining questions you have.

I look forward to working with you!
